Camping Las Arenas was just how Antonio had described it: high on a hill with incredible views and bracing breezes, one of the few ‘free camping’ sites on the northern coast, almost surrounded by water facing the sea with a river running alongside.

Chilled camping half an hour inland from the Costa Blanca, Alicante in the fertile valley of La Vall de Laguar. This is a hikers, bikers, climbers and canyoners paradise, the jewel in the crown being the famous Barranc d’Infern or Hell’s Canyon.
